NYSATA Portfolio Adjudication
at Dutchess County Community College

NYSATA Region 7 held one of three annual Portfolio Projects on Saturday, April 29th at Dutchess Community College.  Over 25 students, ranging from intermediate through major sequence, received constructive adjudication of their portfolios as they related to the New York State Standards for the Arts. "Overall it was a wonderful success,"  commented Robert Wood, Dutchess County Coordinator for the Portfolio Project.  "The day was beautiful, the campus, quiet, the students all well prepared and focused.  Carol Stuve, Interim Chair for A. A. S. Communication Arts, was present to welcome students and their families, as well as to provide tours of the educational facilities. Our adjudicators and participating teachers gave constructive feedback to improve the process for next year, where we hope to involve more schools, teachers and students in this outstanding event. Spread the word!" A special thanks to Carol Stuve, for her efforts in providing the perfect environment, as well as to Connie Noelle for her efforts in making the day a smooth success.
