Region 7 Art Teacher Awards


Regional Art Educator of the Year

Each of NYSATA's ten regions chooses one outstanding art educator to be awarded a plaque at the annual conference. Criteria include outstanding contributions to the field of art education and service to the local and state organization.

Section awardees compete for the state level award for the following year.

 

Region nomination due to Regional Awards Coordinator by June 1.

Region 7 Art Teacher of the Year – High School Division

Candidates must be an active art teacher in Region Seven

Candidates must be a current NYSATA member

Candidates must make contributions to R7 that promote art education

Candidates must make notable contributions to their district art program  

Candidates must be nominated by a member in good standing.

Nomination must list and or describe candidate’s contributions to art education.

Region 7 Art Teacher of the Year – Middle School Division

Candidates must be an active art teacher in Region Seven

Candidates must be a current NYSATA member

Candidates must make contributions to R7 that promote art education

Candidates must make notable contributions to their district art program

R7's Most Promising Art Educator of the Year

Candidates must be an active art teacher in Region Seven

Candidates must be a current NYSATA member

Candidates must be in teaching position for 3 years or less

Candidates must make contributions to R7 that promote art education

Candidates must make notable contributions to their district art program  

Candidates must be nominated by a member in good standing.

Nomination must list and or describe candidate’s contributions to art education

Qualifications will be considered by the Region Seven Awards Committee and a decision made in June.  Award winners and their district administration will be notified over the summer.
